The Heart Poem

Down a bottomless pit we fall
Eternally gone we pray never to return
Lost forever into wanton love’s arms
Afraid but relentless in our dangerous pursuit of bliss
Lying to ourselves that the fall will cause no hur
t
Internally though we know we will hurt yet heal

Keep this hope, oh lady
of my court
Optimistic forever be sworn enemies with doubt
Keep this heart beating all day long
Until and after one we become though we be two still
To skip a beat my heart may never move again
So indeed we fall and hurt we may but still let’s fall
Ever so sweet from fear and doubt into the place called love
